PART TIME LEGAL CASHIER REQUIRED
We wish to recruit a trustworthy, experienced, capable and enthusiastic Legal Cashier to join our Legal firm in a part time capacity.
This is a permanent post for two days per week arising due to the retirement of one of our two existing Cashiers
Our Business
Bradford and Son is a two Partner High Street Legal practice based in Rotherham South Yorkshire. We employ 13 people. We offer a wide range of legal services to a local and regional Client base.
As a law firm we are responsible for the care of Client money and for compliance with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules - responsibilities that we take very seriously. Responsibility for day to day compliance is a key aspect of the operation of the Cashiers’ department.
Our Legal Cashier’s Office also plays a key role in our day to day operation in assisting fee earning staff with time recording and billing, and in providing the Partners with accurate financial management information.
The Role
This is a role which involves all tasks normally associated with a Legal Cashiers job and administrative tasks that are linked to the smooth operation of the business.
The role requires good team working skills, a flexible and helpful attitude, and a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. We are looking for someone who uses common sense to solve problems.
In this role you will need to be experienced and competent in the following areas;
Compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules, Bank reconciliations, Processing financial transactions and invoices, Receiving incoming funds, Making outward electronic payments, Ensuring the integrity of incoming data, Approving and reviewing controls, Monitoring cash-flow and month end statistics, Credit control, Month end accounts and the publication of data for the Partners, Liaising with other members of staff with regard to file opening closure and archiving.
